Explore the Wonders of Iceland
Iceland, the land of fire and ice, is one of the most eco-friendly countries in the world. The nation prides itself on producing almost all its electricity using renewable electricity sources. The capital city of Reykjavik won the Nordic Nature and Environment Prize in 2014 and is working to become a carbon-neutral city in 2040. It’s worth noting that the capital is one of the safest cities in the world. Travelers will begin their journey there; everyone can feel free to check out the coffee shops, museums, viewpoints, restaurants, and galleries while being acquainted. Everyone will have a chance to explore the “Golden Circle” of the country, home to several waterfalls, geysers, glaciers, and more! In Vik, the group will have a chance to see the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and the Fjadrárgljúfur canyon. Onward to Svartifoss, a waterfall surrounded by lava columns. Through the Eastfjords, the group will have a chance to see many waterfalls, small villages, reindeer herds, folklore, and European influences. Onward to Akureyri, the capital of the north, they were initially settled by Norse Vikings. There, everyone can see the Godafoss and Hraunfossar waterfalls. At Snæfellsjökull National Park, the group can hike Dritvik cae, visit the villages of Hellnar and Arnarstapi, and visit the basalt cliffs of Lóndranger. Return to Reykjavík, where everyone can stay to see the Laugavegur trail.
