Nepal, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is home to the highest peak in the world: Mount Everest. It is home to dozens of World Heritage Sites, with Katmandu hosting around seven of them. Upon arrival, everyone can see Mount Everest from Nepal’s capital. The city is home to temples, night markets, religious artworks, monuments, and more. Travelers will start their trek in Katmandu, where everyone will become acquainted with each other and the town. In the town of Ramechhap, everyone will see the snow-capped mountains and various Hindu temples. Onward to the mountainside town of Lukla, the start of the trek route. The group will head into a lush forested valley close to various picturesque Sherpa settlements. After camping in Phakding, everyone will travel to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is on the verge of two rivers and has a bright Saturday night market. At Tengboche, the group will have a chance to see the monastery, the largest gompa (Tibetan Buddhist fortification) in the Khumbu region. Everyone will climb the Imja Khola Valley, see Ama Dablam and Island Peak, and pass by Panboche. Stay overnight in Dingboche. At Everest base camp, everyone can see the Khumbu icefall and the peaks of Khubutse, Pumori, and Changtse. Everyone will return to the village of Lukla on a helicopter ride the next day. Arrive back in Kathmandu, where everyone can explore the city independently. Depart on the 13th day.
