Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, has the highest percentage of Mountain Gorillas in the world. Mountain gorillas are Uganda’s center of attraction; they attract thousands of tourists each year, and many of them compete for gorilla tracking. With less than 1000 of them left in the world, most live in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. On the other hand, over 5000 chimpanzees in Uganda can be viewed in different national parks and wildlife reserves. Kibale Forest National Park harbors the highest number of chimpanzees. On arrival day, everyone will be picked up by a leader at Entebbe International Airport and be driven west to Fort Portal to hike Amabere Caves. There are plenty of crater lakes and tea plantations to be seen. Everyone will spend the day with a chimpanzee troop at Kibale National Park. A stroll along Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is optional. Onward to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of the oldest rainforests in Africa. There is much to see here, including rare plants, birds, and mammals. Travelers will spend an hour in the presence of a gorilla troop. After lunch, everyone will head to Lake Bunyoni. Depart on the final day.
